Harvard Broadcasting and The Aboriginal Peoples Television Network have teamed up to create broadcast opportunities for aboriginal and First Nations broadcasters. Launching in 2007, Harvard Broadcasting's news mentorship programs in Calgary, Saskatoon, and Fort McMurray is specifically geared to give First Nations people the experience needed allowing them to break into the world of news broadcasting. Since the program’s inception, many of the participants have gone on to gain employment not only with Harvard but with other broadcast outlets across the country.
